Around the middle of the seventh century AD, the city of Reccopolis underwent changes to its urban structure and the function of some of its buildings and collective use spaces. In this area of the city, and as a consequence of these changes, parts of the commercial zones transformed into residential areas, and some streets were closed off by new constructions. <\/p>

This small room, with its cooking hearth, is an example from this phase. It was built over a former street, and its construction necessitated channeling an old drainage pipe through a culvert in order to evacuate waters coming from the upper area, directing them towards a well excavated beneath the upper platform of the main street. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
