The dwellings<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9e177cd elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9e177cd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Reccopolis houses had rectangular rooms dedicated to different functions &#8211; living quarters, kitchens, storage, stables &#8211; which opened onto courtyards, sometimes partially covered with porticoes.<\/p><p>A stone masonry plinth supported the rammed earth walls; the roofs, generally gabled, were made of curved tiles, and the floors were made of clayey earth, tamped down and laid on a gravel preparation.<\/p><p>Like the entire city, the dwellings witnessed the passage of time and were modified during the Visigothic period. Uses were changed, living spaces were reduced and some of them were transformed into stables. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
