Visigothic Tremís

This coin minted by the Visigothic king Tulga in Córdoba, as the obverse (TULGA REX) and reverse (CORDOBA PIVS) show, was documented at the Reccopolis site in a grave, possibly dating from the Islamic period. This coin is an example of the importance of Cordoba in the Visigothic period as a city and as the centre of the Baetica region.
